About Us

The idea for House Cleaning With A Smile, came in the summer of 2009 after multiple calls to residential cleaning companies in search of someone to do a move-out clean. We needed to move out with very short notice, due to a safety issue of the home we were living in. With just three days to pack and move, there wasn't much time left for cleaning. Five unsuccessful phone calls later, we decided to clean the house ourselves! During the walk through with our property management company, we were told that we had left the place clean enough to be move-in ready and we would get a full refund for all our move in fees and cleaning deposits. Wow!

We decided that there must be more families like us that needed a helping hand in our area. So, since that day we have been offering quality cleaning services for all budgets. We provide everything from weekly cleans to last minute move outs and services for apartment managers and real estate professionals too.

We moved to Columbia County in 2006 and run a family oriented company. Shelly cleans, husband Mike handles paperwork and advertising, plus lends a hand for weekend or large jobs. Our two children help by shining the company van every chance they get. Together with our beautiful daughters and our three Jack Russell Terriers we are proud to live in St Helens and support our community. We look forward to expanding our service area in the next few years and with that expansion, potential growth for residents in Columbia County, looking for a great job with a family company.
